We have such an amazing location for you today on the Blog. It’s truly incredible to see how many hidden treasures we have in Switzerland, many thanks to Photographer Magnus Bogucki and this adorable couple for showing us this natural beauty!
From the photographer Magnus Bogucki: “Martin contacted me early in the year and told me about their wedding plans. Very much in the center of their plan was Hotel Blausee. Location is always important but I sensed they really appreciated this place. He told me that they only take a limited amount of weddings each year and that there is a very small time period of when you can request for a wedding date.
On the wedding date it was clear that it was a popular place – I think there were 4 civil weddings before us. They came, got married and left for another location. However, Martin got the best slot. We were last in the order and after that we could all stay in the hotel on site and enjoy the rest of the evening.
From the photos you can see “Blausee” (which means Blue Lake in german) is really unique. The color of the water is amazing and it is surrounded by a nature park. Their website describes the place as “In the middle of paradise on 900 meters above sea level lies a small crystal-clear lake, nestled in a magnificent natural landscape – the Blausee.”
They got ready in a wooden hut which was located 200meter from the hotel itself. It was a fantastic setting. Felt like I was in the wild somewhere. We were surrounded by colorful trees. They got ready together so it was very relaxed. It was a civil ceremony at the hotel. Before the apero with lovely food took place the couple got a small boat ride on the lake.
After the dinner they had a cool event – they invited some salsa dancers to do a small show and then give everyone a salsa crash course. It was great fun since Lorraine’s mum is from the Dominican Republic and she has latin dance in her blood – so she took the instructor and started to dance with him. That was great to see!”
